One Island, Two Laps!

Punching the Way to Langness PointThis year as with most their will be two offshore round the island races to look forward to.  Both races are an excellent test of both boat handling and navigation skills, who not make this years races two of the best by supporting the events and having a race round the island.  What better way is there to spend a weekend in May and June this year?

The Collins Stewart Round the Island race is organised and hosted by The Manx Sailing and Cruising club and takes place on Sunday 3rd May starting at 6am from Ramsey Bay.  The race is one of the classic Manx offshore races first held in 1953 for the Coronation Cup, full details, notice of race and entry forms are available on the MS & CC website.

The Hamblin Round Mann Race is organised and hosted by the Isle of Man Yacht club and takes place on Saturday 13th June starting at 8am from Port St Mary Bay.  There will also be Feeder races organised to the island on Friday 12th June, for full details on the event take a look at the Isle of Man Yacht Club website.
