Dinghies Start at Easter
Do you own a racing dinghy but struggle to find the time to get out in it and never seem to get entered in to that race? Why not make 2009 the year to have a change and try your hand in the manx dinghy racing scene.
The Isle of Man is an excellent venue to race both Dinghies and Cruisers and the Dinghy season has a large variety of club regattas, championships and evening club racing all through the summer in all island venues. The 2009 season starts in just a few weeks with the Easter Regatta organised and hosted by The Manx Sailing and Cruising Club. Racing will take place over the Easter weekend in Ramsey Bay, always a popular event and a friendly atmosphere this would be an excellent regatta for anyone wanting to venture in to their first dinghy race.
Take a look at the local club websites (links on the MSR homepage) for details of their major events and club races throughout the season and come down to have a go, remember if you have any questions or queries on any of the islands sailing events just sign up to the MSR Forums and ask away to the MSR community.

is this a 1 day or 2 day regatta?
Not sure, it is in the calendar as 2 days, but the second could be in as a reserve day. No details yet on the MS & CC website, hopefully someone from the club may be able to advise?
It’s down in the IOMYC calendar as Saturday 11th only - Sunday spare day perhaps, in case of gales or a vacuum on day one?? I must have got that idea from somewhere but don’t quite recall - the short term forgetory is working fine..
there are two versions on the MSCC calendar
