Site Feedback

Dear friend of mSr,

We would dearly appreciate your feedback regarding our site. Here at the Manx Sail Racer offices we understand that you are the most important part of our site, and for that reason we would love, more than anything else in the world, to listen to what you have to say about it.

Inspiration:

  • Is there anything you that you think we can do better? Maybe our pitiful event coverage could be improved? (We are always looking for writers and ranters, so drop us a mail if you fancy joining the team)
  • Are there any services you would like to see added? For example:
    • Weather / Shipping Forecasts
    • Tidal information
    • Interactive race results browser
    • The boat registry (Oh yes, the boat registry!)
    • Beer, wine and spirit reviews
    • Merchandise. (Have you never woken up in the middle of the night thinking “if only I had a pair of Manx Sail Racer underpants?”)

Thank you all. I look forward to your comments.

Nick

Hi there, just wanted to say the site works very well with wap, useful as i while away the hours waiting for the steam packet boat to leave liverpool.
Ah, the steam packet, how do they make time on the waves so much fun!
    Cheers now. Bye.

Please add my boat to the Manx Sailboat Registry. The details are as follows-

    Class - Hobie Tiger
    Sail number - 307
    Owner/helm - Trevor Cowin
    PN - 750

    Hi Trevor,

I will make sure your boat is added. If you like you can also e-mail requests like this to mail@manxsailracer.com.

  4. Trevor Cowin Says:

PS: I won’t be sailing the boat again as I’ve sold it. I just wanted “Russy” to remember that my Tiger was the fastest dinghy around here, ever. Maybe he’ll get a fast boat sometime.

Good day to you in the Island,

As an exiled Manxman I enjoy your page, keeps me in touch with the Island sailing comunity. My son David “occasionally” gives me an update.

Dave Kneals photograhs are excellent - is he after Rics job.

When will the full results of the Laser Trials be available ?

    Brgds

To all past sailing friends on the Island

    Hi Derek

Thanks for the note. Full results from the Trials are now on the results page.

    Thanks

    Tom

    Hi.
Could you please put a simple “Contact Us” link on the site so it is quick and easy to get in touch with the Webmaster?
The site is great but seems to be almost entirely devoted to Dinghies. Are you interested in news, reports, results, pics, etc, for our Sportsboats and Cruiser-Racers in Douglas?
    Regards.
    Mike McMahon.
    President DBYC.

    Mike

Thanks for the feedback, we will look into adding contact information in a more obvious way, like a “Contact Us” page - at the moment the closest we have is probably under the “About Us” page. In the mean-time to get in touch directly, send us an email to mail@manxsailracer.com.

We would be delighted to, and wish to, expand coverage to all sail racing on the Isle of Man. Any information that you are able to provide to us would be most gratefully received.

    Many thanks
    Nick

    (not necessarily for publication)
the below link gives me a corrupted ( .pdf) file - sorry I did not capture the URL

“Check below for race details on the Regatta, Cruiser Champs and Youth Champs:

    IOMYC Regatta 2007.pdf ”

    Repeatable error

  11. Nick (msr) Says:

    Hi Steve

I don’t seem to have a problem with the pdf IOMYC Regatta 2007.pdf file on this post.
What software/operating system are you using to try and view the file?

If you are still having problems with the file and wish to have a copy, feel free to send me an email to nick {at} manxsailracer.com.

    Thanks
    Nick
